St Peter's School, Cambridge, is an exclusive independent, co-educational day and boarding school for Years 7 - 13 (ages 11 - 18 years).

The school was founded in 1936. We base our educational philosophy on development of "body, mind and spirit".

St Peter's - Cambridge is located on 40 hectares of park like grounds, 5 minutes from the town of Cambridge and 20 minutes from the city of Hamilton. The facilities are modern, classrooms with attached computer suites, auditorium, students' centre, sports fields, Astroturf, equestrian, tennis, swimming and golf facilities.

St Peter's - Cambridge is accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
We teach the following qualifications:
- New Zealand curriculum Year 7 - 13
- NCEA Levels 1 - 3, Years 11 - 13
- Cambridge Mathematics Years 9 ? 13
- International Baccalaureate Years 12 - 13

International students are prepared to enter universities or other tertiary institutions in New Zealand and overseas. Full subject options are available from the school or the website.

Academies: St Peter's - Cambridge has four specialised academies based at the school. Students can receive professional individual and group coaching while continuing their academic studies.

Care support for international students

St Peter's - Cambridge is a signatory to the government Code of Practice and has developed a wide range of services and support programmes.

Support is provided by the Manager of International Students, Student Services Officer, Homestay and Holiday Co-ordinator and international student leaders. Supervision and support extends beyond the school gates throughout the school year, including during holidays. Support is co-ordinated by the Pastoral Care Focus group.

An ESL programme is offered to all international students by specialist, qualified teachers. One to one assistance by ESL tutors is available at an extra costs as well as subject tutors. Students are assisted by the ESL department with mainstream subject learning. IELTS courses are available on demand.

Accommodation options

The majority of international students live seven days a week in one of our age related boarding houses. A small number of students live full time in homestays selected and monitored by the school. Homestays are organised for boarders during holidays and weekend breaks.
